REACHit is new, and new apps and services often have bugs or half baked features. Maybe users with newer tablets or smartphones will have a better experience, but I was frequently annoyed by the lag time. Something else worth mentioning: REACHit is sluggish on my Nexus 7.

The next release of REACHit will allow users to grad and drop files from a phone to PC and will be available in January 2015.”) (After this post was published, Lenovo reached out with the following statement regarding the drag-and-drop feature: “REACHit only provides support for dragging and dropping files through the PC interface.

Lenovo’s press release says “REACHit allows users to move files from a phone to PC or between storage locations by dragging and dropping the files within the app’s interface.” But how? Dragging and dropping didn’t work for me, nor did I find any instructions for transferring files between accounts in the Android app’s help section or in Lenovo’s REACHit online FAQs. On Android, however, I wasn’t able to transfer files between cloud accounts. Sharing files via email, downloadable links and other means also worked as advertised. I was also able to open files, make edits and store the files locally on my Android tablet. If you’ve had a good experience with any Cloud Transfer services which I haven’t mentioned here then I would love to hear about it.In most cases, searching for files across all cloud accounts worked as expected. What I found a bit off was the 2GB monthly transfer limit really small. Moving a 1GB file from 4Shared to Google Drive took less than a minute. The file transfer speed was also impressive. File transfers was simply Copy and Paste. I found the Otixo interface pretty smooth and easy to get around. As of the time of this post, Otixo supports: That was like the missing piece of the puzzle for me. What brought Otixo under my radar was their support for 4Shared. What I now find a bit off is that its now strictly paid.

I was able to use the service for free in BETA. Their User Interface was really easy to get around. As at the time of this post, Mover supports:įile transfer on Mover was pretty fast. I discovered Mover when when they were in BETA. According to their pricing page, the paid plan has a faster transfer speed. What I found a bit off about Multcloud was the slow transfer speed on the free plan. I also liked the fact that I could name and see my storage stats (used and free space) for various Cloud Storage accounts. I liked the Cloud Explorer as I could remotely manage files. They’re about the only one (I know) that supports Baidu.

I found Multcloud very easy to use and reliable.

  • Cloud Explorer: Lets you manage files in your linked Cloud Storage accounts from Multcloud.
  • Some additional features I came across are: As at the time of this post, Multcloud supports: This service is quite popular and reliable. For other Cloud Transfer services I’d used, I only had to authenticate once per Cloud Storage services’s account. One thing I found a bit off was having to authenticate (meaning I had to be logged into my account on respective Cloud Storage services) before each transfer. The process (on each file) was completed between 2 – 5 minutes. I had to move 3 files (about 1.3GB per file) between Dropbox and Google drive. I was really impressed with their free plan. : Transfer your on-premise data into the cloud provider of your choice. : Transfer multiple users, maintain permissions, security and metadata in a few quick steps. : Backup your cloud storage, letting Cloudsfer manage and move newly created data. Perform an automated or a one time scheduled migration.

: Schedule your migration to run when it fits you best. : Migrate your photos only between cloud providers. Upon completion, use the delta button to migrate new and modified documents. : Personalize your migration according to your needs.

  • Recurring Migration – 1st month for free!.
  • Here are a few I’ve personally used and think will equally come in handy for you.Īs at the time of this post, Cloudsfer supports:Ĭloudsfer has a free and paid plans. If you’re on a limited budget or time conscious then you’ll find Cloud Transfer services very helpful. Downloading then re-uploading is neither cost nor data effective…unless you have unlimited data and crazy internet speeds. There come those times when you need to move heavy files (I’m talking Gigabytes) from one Cloud Storage to another. Having accounts with multiple Cloud Storage Services (e.g Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive etc) is quite normal when you manage a lot of heavy files.
